We've been using Sitecore for a few years and we've not found a better Enterprise Grade CMS on the Microsoft .NET Platform. We only offer one service line, but choose to utilize Sitecore for our larger websites and projects because it is built on good software fundamentals and gives us the freedom to extend it to fulfill our customer's needs. 

Sitecore CMS is a great starting point for a website with many editors and publishers. We like it because it gives end users and site owners the best interface to manage content. It also gives developers like us a lot of freedom to customize the software. It is built on .NET technology and stores its information in XML, allowing any level of integration with other systems. 

Sitecore also has an excellent Online Marketing Suite which helps site owners target specifici audiences and provide compelling personalized experiences to their site visitors and users.

The page editor / designer lets non technical people edit the site by logging in and editing sections which they've been given access to.

The content editor can be configured so that only certain people in your organization can manage certain parts of the website. 

The desktop is for the site administrators and developers to move content from the Staging to Production sites. 

Over all, the experience for an organization using Sitecore is always positive because it solves so many content integration and publishing problems with one solution.
